Making videos, even the simple videos I make, has been a challenge this year. We haven't been able to travel anywhere to make fun videos, and the one multi-country trip we expected to take this spring had to be canceled.
This year's top videos, then, look different from previous years. Because I was stuck isolating on our farm, and travel to Europe was prohibited, I turned to my other interests - horses and nature (thank you, horses and nature). I kept a vlog of the work we did during these rugged months. And those were what people watched.
2021 will be more interesting in an entirely good way.
We fostered a marvelous little Morgan mare, Star, for a few weeks between the time that she was found in a kill pen and the time that Forever Morgans found a permanent home for her.
Despite the much-appreciated warmth, the days got shorter and our work on the firewood supply became more urgent.
Our "six-month lockdown milestone" video included a new truck, fence repairs and autumn colors.
Things broke. We fixed them or paid to have them fixed. I rode a lot.
We used the tools that worked to get ready for winter, but let's face it, the big news was the U.S. Presidential election.
