The value of local travel

Like you, we're stuck at home right now. We've canceled getaways for 2020 and for 2021, we've gone into semi-isolation on our farm, and we don't like it one bit. You probably don't, either.

But we've explored the old-but-new idea of local travel, and doing it just might help you keep your sanity.

You can plan. You can prepare (as a starter, we recommend getting fully vaccinated, if you haven't already). And you can still travel; it just needs to stay local, with all applicable safety precautions.

That means social distancing, frequent handwashing and wearing a mask. I'll go one step farther and say you need a fresh, clean mask - don't toss the old one on the ground! Plan on two masks per day, per person.

Then get re-acquainted with your own area.

For us, that's Ohio. Does it compare with the places we want to go? No. But is it still good? Yes.

Check out some of our recent travels below.

I'm Kandace, the site's wordsmith. If you see a great photo here, my husband, Ken, probably took it.
