Experience backyard tourism

You wanted to go far away in 2020. You saved the money, you reserved the airfare, you planned your sights and it was going to be fantastic. Then COVID-19 hit.


Say you managed to postpone that trip for a year - a whole year! Then you learned that your destination, understandably, still isn't open.


How maddening.


Hard truth? Get over it. People died. Your vacation plans aren't that critical, even if this changes your plans for the next decade.


Regroup, prioritize, plan and adapt.


Look around and explore your own backyard more. Even though it's not the same, chances are good that you can safely travel somewhere and experience something new.


Here are a couple day trips - sometimes "hour trips" - we've taken in the last few weeks. They were nice. We learned from them.
